Hi, my name is Marvin Grey.

My photography journey started in January 2018, when I picked up my first camera and started taking photos. I’m from Lipa, Batangas, a province in South Luzon, Philippines.

My Journey

My first subjects came from my daily interactions and mostly captured on the street. Hence, my first genre was largely street photography and portraits. By March 2018, I delved into Landscape photography by joining a guided tour in Batanes, Philippines. It’s where I first developed an appreciation for nature, architecture, and fine art.

My Awards and Partnerships

I used this newfound passion and curiosity to learn further and weave photography into my travels. Fortunately, my dedication and passion paid off. I achieved seventeen honorable mentions and placed third in "Nature/Sunset" category in IPA-Philippines in my first year. I was also awarded two bronze awards in the MIFA 2019 Awards. In the same year at TIFA, I also won two more medals -- a silver and a bronze. Furthermore, I got one bronze award from the Epson International Pano Awards. All these were along with several accolades in the IPA. This past year, 2020, I managed to snag 5 honorable mentions in 2020’s IPA. I am also in partnership with Haida Philippines and a Skylum Global Brand Ambassador (link here).

Through this website, I hope to further showcase my work. Moreover, I want to share everything I know about photography through my tutorials and workshops. You will also find information about prints and some events I will take part in.
