Since starting, I have shuffled through different gear configurations when I shoot and this year is no different! Take a look at what I have inside my camera bag this year!

Understanding the relationship of these components being the three pillars of photography is indispensable. With its application, you can eventually be adept with the techniques involved for each one so that you produce a beautiful image.

The context of a piece of work is always personal. There's always emotion. We just express it in different ways. Years ago, I made the same trip with much more excitement and hope. This one feels more like finishing something unfinished—though the experience has redefined my perception of reality and my core personality, I feel it's still proper to honor that turning point that brought me here.

Last Saturday, 20th of July, we opened "UN:PLUGGED," a photo exhibit that features seven talented artists with their own unique takes on scenes, photography and fine art. I have to say, the opening night was a success, as my expectations of guests were overwhelmed by the number of people that came and appreciated our work. It was an exhilarating experience. I saw many people who I admire in the industry and they were all congratulating us and appreciating the work we did. It was awesome.

The countdown continues.

It's barely a week until the exhibit opens and, before it does, it's nice to look back at the preparation and effort that led to this point.

To give some context, I went to Quezon Province almost the same time as last year (only a week earlier) with a different set of people. I met so many new personalities on that trip that I had admired and studied along with the ones that have been an influence in my development as an artist.
